Dr. Vil M. Bykov, Born 1925.


Leading scholar on Jack London. The author of five books, one hundred articles and translations of Jack London. Veteran of World War II. Graduate of Moscow State Unversity in the field of foreign literature.

Author of more than 150 publications and books on American labor leaders and the American youth movement. Translated books and stories by and about Jack London into Russian. His PhD dissertation on Jack London was published by Moscow State and Saratov State Universities.

Dr. Bykov maintained a lifelong friendship with Joan London and corresponded with Joan London and Anna Strunsky.
