Becky and Joan, 1913. At this time, Jack London and his second wife, Charmian Kittredge London, were living at the ranch in Glen Ellen. Although Jack invited his daughters to stay there with him, the two girls felt obliged by loyalty to stay with their mother in Oakland, where he frequently visited them.

 

 

 

 

 

In 1935 Joan worked as an advisor for the Hollywood Movie "Call of the Wild" featuring Clark Gable. This advertising photo shows her son Bart (Abbott), Clark Gable and herself.
